Looking for a Flamecast?

Oh my freaking lord...

Flamecast #055 is being stubborn as hell to get recorded. Since discontinuing the use of Teamspeak, Travis, Wes and I tried using Discord last weekend and all seemed to be good... until I discovered in the editing process that my voice was the only one that was picked up. So, Travis, Matt and I tried again just a little while ago. This time I got everyone's audio in, but the video window to capture was not the correct one plus it stopped on us 19 minutes in. I discovered that after we going on about an hour later. So, another one in the trash. After doing some additional testing, the next one will be done via Zoom which has its own recording capabilities. I'll try again next month, though, because we can only cover the same topics so many times. We'll have all new things to discuss then.

Ugh.

Apologies to Wes, Travis and Matt, although it was a good time for us to catch up and just talk about stuff.

Flaming Death Stockroom Gets an Upgrade

Thanks to another person I know who sells items online, I've switched over to a different vendor for the Flaming Death Stockroom supplies. Not only is it a lot more pleasant to look at and browse through, there are quite a few more purchasing options as well. I think it was back in March that I had come up with the idea of making FDP facemasks just as kind of a joke, but I really should have taken myself seriously because everyone else started doing it! So, without further delay, I bring to you FDP facemasks! I'll have more merch on the way as soon as I go through some more design steps, but head on over to the Flaming Death Stockroom and see what's there (click on the link above, or go to it's new location at https://www.redbubble.com/people/FlamingDeath/shop).

Looking for the latest Figures Inaction post?

Some of you may be wondering about the status of Figures Inaction since there have not been any posts there since the last Saturday in December. While I have been enjoying the extended vacation (for as much as I can, that is), I am actively working on ramping up more posts for future dates and plan on continuing on the first Saturday of June which would be June 6. Perhaps I should post the first one at 6:00 AM. That would be devilish! This also gives me time to acquire more figures for posts that have been conceived of but not yet realized.

In the meantime, the entire run of Figures Inaction is available here at the website to everyone. Just use the link in the webpage's menu or go to http://figuresinaction.flamingdeath.net/.

February News - The FDP Teamspeak server, Figures Inaction & Flamecast Audio Theater

Just a few news items that happened last month...

The FDP Teamspeak server
...is dead.  Once again, the voice chat service that we use to communicate for Flamecasts and such has ceased to function which then requires a total re-setup.  After doing this two or three times in the past already, I've had it.  Future Flamecasts will either be recorded from conversations over Skype or Facebook voice chat.

Figures Inaction
Since January has been quite busy, I haven't had time to work on photos for the month.  I had planned on having things ready for February, but now it's the 1st and I'm still not ready.  We'll see what happens over this weekend, otherwise I may delay the return until the first Saturday in March.

Flamecast Audio Theater
I've been saying I was going to start doing audio stories for a number of years now, and I finally rewrote one of the old Star Wars fan film scripts I had to adapt it for an audio story instead of live action.  The next step is to audition people for the roles.  If you're interested, please contact me via the Flaming Death Productions Facebook page.

That's it for now!

Late to the Game...

A late Happy New Year to everyone!  Things have been a bit slow over here with circumstances not giving a lot of time for Flamecasts and such.  I do plan on recording again sometime soon, though, since there's been a lot to talk about.

Also, I'm a bit behind on Figures Inaction and need to take some time for that as well.  I do have some postings ready to go that are further down the line, but this month is a bit empty as of this moment.  I should have more in the tank soon, though.

Imgur Success!

It seems Figures Inaction is seeing a dramatic increase in overall views by posting over on Imgur. I've had multiple posts there with over 1,000 views, and last night's posting, Pulaski's End, is seeing the best numbers yet. After a few duds here and there to start out with, I've decided not to re-post all photos but instead post the best of the crop.

Flamecast #048: Mercy Bombed

Figures Inaction on Imgur!

Seeing how another person I know has an Imgur account and seems to be doing quite well on it, I've created a Figures Inaction account on there as well. If I space out my posts there just a little, it will still be quite a while before the postings are all synchronized between all media platforms. In the meantime, check it out over at https://imgur.com/user/FiguresInaction.

Hollyweed

If you haven't seen the postings on Facebook yet, check out a pilot episode over at RivitTV.com called "Hollyweed".  It's a Kevin Smith project which looks like it has quite a bit of potential.  In order to get the series moving, you pledge a certain amount as low as $1.99 per episode and the series will be green-lit if the total amount reaches $5,305,264 on or before August 26, 2018.  So if you're a fan of Kevin like me, go out an support Hollyweed!
