Time for a Change

Lately, I've been doing some searches on Bing in order to build up Microsoft Rewards points, and while doing a search for "Figures Inaction" I came across another Blogger blog with the URL using Figures In Action dot com. Evidently this site has been in operation since August of 2011 which predates my own Figures Inaction site by about four years. I don't recall coming across it when changing from Action Trektion to Figures Inaction in my Google searches back then although I probably didn't put the words together as one word in my search, so I tried it and lo and behold this other site comes up in the Google search. Being that the guy has a different picture format than me and is based in Italy where it's all non-English, I'm not too terribly concerned other than it would have been nice to grab that URL at some point but also that he's used the same font and colors for his logo as what I had! Coincidence? Hmmm... I wonder who was using the font format first. It's a little different since he used all caps and I had gone lower case, but the colors are almost identical. Still, being that his site came before mine, I felt I needed to make a change to the logo, then. I'm not sure if I'll keep it as it is, but at least it's different than Figures In Action's. I guess I'd better make some changes to the merchandise in the Flaming Death Stockroom as well, but we'll see what I decide as far as a permanent logo before making any changes in that area.

Stockroom Improvements!

I redesigned each logo with a transparent background, so no more color blocks around them! Try changing the fabric colors as some of those are very nice with the reworked logos.

Instagram? Maybe....

So after a couple of years of having an Instagram account, I finally started actually using it for posting the latest Figures Inaction entries from the last two weeks. It is somewhat of a pain, however, since I have to basically build every post from scratch instead of just sharing straight from the FDP website like I can with Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Not only that, but I can't do it from my computer and have to build each post on my tablet or phone instead. Although I have a similar issue with periodic posting on Imgur, it's a bit easier there since it can be accomplished on a PC. I get that a lot of people use Instagram, but damn, it's not very user-friendly to PC users. We'll see how long I stay with it.

New masks and other changes at Redbubble.com

The Flaming Death Stockroom now has fitted 3-layer masks! Each of the three designs are available in this type, and you can find them under the main mask category for each design. I also did a bit of trimming of some of the items when I discovered that the white lettering on black logo did not transfer very nice on black clothing. It's not an issue with the masks at all, but for some reason the black fabric Redbubble uses for t-shirts and such is a little lighter than the black background I use in the image and therefore shows up in the final products. The white background doesn't seem to be an issue, though. So check them out at Redbubble.com!

Looking for a Flamecast?

Oh my freaking lord...

Flamecast #055 is being stubborn as hell to get recorded. Since discontinuing the use of Teamspeak, Travis, Wes and I tried using Discord last weekend and all seemed to be good... until I discovered in the editing process that my voice was the only one that was picked up. So, Travis, Matt and I tried again just a little while ago. This time I got everyone's audio in, but the video window to capture was not the correct one plus it stopped on us 19 minutes in. I discovered that after we going on about an hour later. So, another one in the trash. After doing some additional testing, the next one will be done via Zoom which has its own recording capabilities. I'll try again next month, though, because we can only cover the same topics so many times. We'll have all new things to discuss then.

Ugh.

Apologies to Wes, Travis and Matt, although it was a good time for us to catch up and just talk about stuff.

Flaming Death Stockroom Gets an Upgrade

Thanks to another person I know who sells items online, I've switched over to a different vendor for the Flaming Death Stockroom supplies. Not only is it a lot more pleasant to look at and browse through, there are quite a few more purchasing options as well. I think it was back in March that I had come up with the idea of making FDP facemasks just as kind of a joke, but I really should have taken myself seriously because everyone else started doing it! So, without further delay, I bring to you FDP facemasks!
